These lively and humorous photocards show human actions that have an Expressive Verbsintrinsic meaning.

The 48 cards depict a wide range of states such as listening and frowning, intentions such as beckoning and stopping, reactions such as hushing and sneering, and emotions such as anger and happiness.

Most of the expressions and actions shown are universally understood, but some have alternate meanings in different cultures.

  • hand – waving, shaking hands;
  • face – frowning, raising eyebrows.
